Business is a Calling; it is a Gift; it is a Ministry by Larry W. Sharp, IBEC Ventures Blog, 5/28/2021   “God did not call me to be a minister or a missionary; He called me to be a businessman – and I see no difference.” (Michael Cardone of Cardone Industries) I have recently been contracted to write a couple of courses for a Christian college in Canada.  One of the courses is to be entitled “Theology of Business.”  I have taught workshops on this subject by spending an hour or two, but a 36-hour college credited course is something different, especially when I am not an expert on the subject.  I have been reading and studying the scriptures as well as what learned men and women have to say on the subject. For many people ‘theology’ and ‘business’ are compartmentalized into two segments: secular and sacred with very little or no connectivity to each other.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.  Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Ken Eldred, asserts that the real goal of business is to serve people to the glory of God.  Business serves people by creating wealth (Deut. 8:18) and God who is the creator of all things gives mankind the ability to do so.  Theology and business are inherently linked from the Cultural Mandate in Genesis chapters 1 and 2 (where God gave Adam a job to do) until today. Click to read more...  사역동정    MB 아카데미 - SfK는 9월에 BMT 2021을 계속 진행하여 변혁, 전략, 운영 및 회계 재무에 대한 훈련 세션을 개최했습니다. MB 아카데미 - SfK는 매월 개최되는 Post BMT 9월 세션을 개최했습니다. MB 아카데미 - SfK는 캘리포니아 어바인에 있는 베델 교회 성도를 위한 12주 미니 BMT를 시작했습니다. 처음 3주는 2개의 전략 세션과 사업계획서를 작성하는 방법에 대해 1개의 세션을 가졌습니다.  MB 트레이딩 - SfK의 미국 유통 자회사인 Joybells America는 9월에 특별 대면 이사회를 개최했습니다. 이사회에서 몇 가지 중요한 사항을 결정했고, 2021년 남은 기간 동안 후속 조치가 취해질 것입니다. MB 트레이딩 - 한국의 선교기업 유통업체인 Hesed Global은 한국의 추석 명절 동안 본사 제품을 홍보하기 위해 몇몇 기독교 기관과 특별 공동 캠페인을 실시했습니다. 성과는 기대에 미치지 않았지만 함께 사역할 수 있는 기회가 참여한 모두에게 큰 축복이었습니다. MB 펀드 - SfK는 조지아 공화국의 양돈 프로젝트에 대한 업데이트된 사업 계획을 검토하고 피드백을 제공했습니다 MB 펀드 - SfK는 중앙 아시아의 K 국가에서 닭 사료 제조공장 확장 프로젝트 사업계획서를 검토하고 피드백을 제공했습니다. SfK 네트워크 - SfK는 사역 협력의 기회를 모색하기 위해 한국에서 에스겔 선교회와 KBM Global의 지도부와 별도의 회의를 가졌습니다.   다가오는 일정  1. MB 아카데미 - SfK는 10월에도 온라인 BMT 2021을 계속해서 진행하는데 매주마다 2개의 비디오 강의와 2시간의 라이브 교육 시간을 포함하는 5개의 세션을 가지게 됩니다. 모든 참가자들이 선교 사업을 통해 하나님과 사람을 더 잘 섬기는 훈련뿐만 아니라 서로에게서 잘 배울 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.    2. MB 아카데미 - SfK는 10월에도 Post BMT를 진행하게 되는데 2명의 참가자가 자신들의 케이스를 발표하고 집단 자문을 받게 됩니다. 모든 참가자가 이 귀중한 동료간 학습 기회를 적절하게 활용하도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 3. MB 아카데미 – 캘리포니아 어바인 지역에 있는 베델교회를 위한 미니 BMT는 10월에 4개의 훈련 세션을 계속하여 진행합니다. 모든 참가자들이 훈련 프로그램을 통해 혜택을 받아 선교적 삶의 여정을 해 갈 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 4. SfK 네트워크 - SfK는 10월 한국 BAM 연합단체인 IBA의 리더스 포럼에 발제자의 한 사람으로, 11월 IBA BAM 컨퍼런스에는 SfK의 BMT 프로그램을 소개하는 것으로 참여하게 됩니다. 이런 협력이 모든 참가자들에게 유익하고 격려가 되도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 5. SfK 네트워크 - SfK는 11월에 개최되는 한국글로벌선교리더스포럼(KGMLF)에 사례연구 논찬자로 참여합니다. 이 모임이 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 더 큰 영광을 위한 새로운 사역과 협력의 기회가 되도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 6. SfK 네트워크 - 국내 IBA 교육기관인 Neo Moravian House (네오모라비안 하우스)가 2021년 11월 4일부터 12월 4일까지 2021년 훈련 프로그램을 시작합니다. 이 프로그램에 관심이 있으신 분들은 붙임 포스터를 참고 하시고 연락주시기 바랍니다. 이 훈련이 선교 현장에서 필요에 따라 더 많은 BAMers를 준비하는 데 도움이 되도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.   7  MB 아카데미 - SfK는 2022년 1월부터 영어로 진행되는 BMT 2022를 개최할 계획입니다. 이 훈련 프로그램은 3개 나라에서 이미 충분한 수의 참가자가 있습니다. 준비가 잘 되어 참가자들이 선교기업 경영능력이 극대화할 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 8. MB 펀드 - SfK는 탄자니아의 Glen Africa에 이루어진 투자를 현지 요구에 부응하여 구조 조정하고 있습니다. 그 결정이 하나님의 뜻과 일치하고 그 결과가 서로에게 덕이 되도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 9. MB 트레이딩 - SfK는 9개국에서 생산된 50개 상품으로 구성된 온라인 임팩트 거래 플랫폼 (shop4impact.com) 을 출시할 계획입니다. 출시할 시기는 2022년 초로 연기되었습니다. 모든 준비과정이 하나님의 은혜를 입어 진행되고 진척되는 과정을 보며 하나님을 찬양할 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 10. MB 커뮤니티 – 우리 공동체 내 일부 구성원은 여전히 코로나19로 인해 직간접적으로 고통받고 있습니다. 일부는 여전히 투병 중이고, 일부는 회복 중입니다. 그 중 바이러스 감염에서 회복 된 후에도 후유증으로 고통 받고 있기도 합니다. 게다가, 그들 대부분은 여전히 팬데믹으로 인한 경제적, 사회적 피해를 극복하기 위해 고군분투하고 있습니다. 이 어려운 시기에 주님께서 의로운 오른손으로 그들을 붙드시고 그들의 등을 강하게 하여 시련의 짐을 넉넉히 감당할 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.   전례없는 코로나19 전염병 기간 동안 아시아와 아프리카에 있는 선교기업을 훈련하고 역량을 강화하는 저희 SfK 사역에 기도와 재정적인 후원으로 함께 동역해 주셔서 감사합니다.  .   .   . 주님께서 여러분을 풍성하게 축복하셔서 여러분의 주변 이웃과 전 세계 흩어져 있는 많은 소외된 자들에게 여러분이 큰 복의 통로로 사용되시기를 간절히 기도합니다. Several months ago, we highlighted some great resources for BAM (Business As Missions) entrepreneurs, supporters and those who are interested in learning more about BAM.  Of those resources, podcasts highlighting BAM and its impact are very helpful in bringing information and updates regarding BAM and those involved in BAM to the masses. This month, we would like to highlight The Faith Driven Podcast, a show that not only delves into BAM, but discusses what faith-based entrepreneurship looks like.     You're Not Just an Entrepreneur with Tony Evans Episode 151 Faith Driven Entrepreneur Podcast   The story of today’s guest starts in a recording studio. When Dr. Tony Evans was a student at Dallas Theological Seminary, he was asked to preach on a radio show based out of Houston. After giving countless sermons to an audience he could never see, Tony gathered 10 people in his living room, which was the start Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.  Fast forward and Oak Cliff Bible has roughly 10,000 members, Tony has written dozens of books, and countless people have encountered the gospel of Jesus Christ through their work.  We couldn’t have been more excited to sit down with Dr. Tony Evans, and we think you’ll be blessed by what he shared today... Click to listen to Podcast...  Ministry Updates    SfK MB Community - A member in K nation in Central Asia received the government's award for excellent contribution to the nation. Good works performed in His name may also gain respect and recognition from the non-believing world. Glory be to God Almighty! SfK MB Academy - Conducted its Post BMT session in August with two participants presenting their cases and received consultation from all other participants. Please pray that these sessions will only strengthen their bonding and commitment to building each other up. SfK MB Academy - Started and has completed three weekly sessions in August for its BMT 2021. Please pray that this year's session will benefit all participants while all who serve will serve as if for the Lord.   SfK MB Trading - Hesed Global, the trading entity in Korea, has begun a promotional campaign in cooperation with other social enterprises during the Korean Fall Festival (Chuseok) Those in Korea may still place an order for mutual benefit using the link below. Please pray that this event will help move the inventory of many missional/social businesses while bringing value and joy to consumers. LINK:  https://neartail.com/public/114489349691314704630/home/form/1FAIpQLScagf5aziOy6SkPWo9xgZ6PF9BSU6Oi9EZXkLy9cIWqt5Cq7g SfK MB Trading - Formed a team to launch an online platform to promote sales of products made by aligned missional businesses. The team has selected 9 brands for the initial launch. Please pray that this endeavor will bear fruit that will honor God and bring joy to people who participate.  SfK MB Fund - Continues to explore the possibility of making an investment in a K nation in Central Asia. Please pray that this will pave the way to effective collaboration for the Kingdom of God in this nation and beyond. SfK Network - Both SfK Life and SfK Korea held their board meetings online in August. Please pray that the boards will maintain their passion and commitment to the SfK mission.  Upcoming Events  1. Sept. 2021: SfK MB Academy - Will continue to hold its Post BMT. Two additional participants will present their cases and seek consultation. Please pray that the sessions will be informative and helpful. 2. SfK MB Academy - Will continue to hold weekly training sessions for BMT 2021. Please pray that these training sessions will equip the participants properly. 3. Sept. 2021: SfK MB Academy - Will hold a 12-week mini BMT for Bethel Church in Irvine California starting Sept 16, 2021. Please pray that this mini BMT will equip the participants with renewed perspectives and necessary knowledge.   5. Oct. 21, 2021: SfK Network - Will participate in IBA Leaders Forum. Please pray that the event will help review what the Lord has done and map out a plan for the future with godly discernment.  6. Nov. 9-13, 2021: SfK Network - Will participate in Korean Global Mission Leaders Forum (KGMLF). Please pray that this bi-annual gathering will be educational to both Korean and Non-Korean mission leaders. 7. SfK MB Fund - Has committed to making a working capital loan to a member in L country to help its cash flow needs during its start-up operations. Please pray that this restaurant business will persevere the challenges they may face in the midst of a pandemic.     Thank you for standing with us through prayer and support in equipping and empowering missional businesses in Asia and Africa.
