SfK Ministries Newsletter - OCTOBER 2019 - "Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." (John 12:24-26) The following article comes from an article on the bamedu.com organization site.  THE MAKING OF A KINGDOM ENTREPRENEUR While sitting with some future “bammers,” one of them asked me what I considered to be the makeup of the good Kingdom Entrepreneur. I gave them the typical response but as I thought more about it, I have come up with some traits and characteristics of a good “long-term Christian Business Person.” Passion for Christ and the Nations! First and foremost, anyone looking to work full-time overseas proclaiming the name of Jesus (whether as a tentmaker or tradition missionary) needs to have a passion for Jesus Christ. Each and everyone of us needs to growing in our love for Christ and fanning the flame of Jesus in our lives. Time with Jesus must be a priority because without it…your first love will soon fade away. Along with a passion for Jesus, we need to also have a passion for the nations…that none should perish. We need to have a burning desire in our hearts to share His love with the lost around us. Our hearts need to break for the lost. It is easy to grow hard over time…pray for a soft heart for the nations. Read more... Ministry Updates 1. SfK participated in the 2nd BAM Conference held at Bethel Korean Church in Irvine, California. Please pray that this gathering will draw more people of God to live their missional life in and through businesses in the marketplace for His glory.  2. SfK held a gathering of SfK Kingdom Fellows totaling 19 over dinner on September 27, 2019. Most of the Kingdom Fellows are based in Southern California, and we praised God who has enabled us to serve Him collectively through SfK. Please pray that we will continue to serve God in unity by serving people whom He cares for, seeking a holistic transformational impact in their lives.    3. SfK Life held its In-Person Board Meeting on September 28, 2019. This meeting covered its regular quarterly board meeting and strategic planning session, reviewing how BAM has progressed over the 15-20 years, how SfK has participated in the BAM Movement, what the pressing issues remaining are and what SfK should do moving forward. We praise God for the fruitful meeting we had. Please pray that SfK Life board will continue serving as an effective governing board. 4. A new member has been added to the SfK Life Board of Directors. Sam Kim is a lawyer, real estate investor and general construction engineer based in Southern California. We are thrilled that God has sent him to us. Also, the Lord has sent SfK Life a new Kingdom Fellow based in Southern California. Kwangho Kent Lee will coordinate the various training curriculum development for SfK Missional Business Academy. Please CLICK HERE to learn more about Mr. Lee.  Please pray that God may guide him to play a significant role to strengthen SfK MBA programs. 6. Joybells America, the US subsidiary of Hesed Global, is in the process of revamping the on-line marketing platform for its affiliate Cconma USA. Please pray that this endeavor will pave the way for an on-line marketing platform in the U.S. and beyond. 7. SfK's consulting advisory business is making significant progress on international developmental projects in South East Asia and Central Asia. The names are withheld for security reasons, but please pray that these endeavors will bring a fruitful outcome that is pleasing to our Lord Jesus Christ. Upcoming Events & Prayer Requests October 2019:  SfK will hold a mini training on BAM for Hesed Cambodia leadership in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. There will also be interviews with the leadership to develop strategies for 2020. Please pray that this mini training and individual leadership meetings will be fruitful.  October - December 2019:  SfK will visit several cities in the U.S. primarily to meet with existing and potential supporters for resource development. Please pray that we will go where the Lord is leading us to witness His providence. February 2020:  SfK plans to visit Sri Lanka to explore the possibility of ministry opportunities. Please pray that we will be able to discern God's will.  February 2020:  SfK plans to visit Kathmandu, Nepal to try out SfK MBA's new approach of Focused Training for potential missional business. Please pray that its implementation will be thoughtful and beneficial.   February 2020:  SfK plans to visit a South Asian nation to conduct an SfK MBA Focused Training for a potential member of SfK Missional Business Community. Please pray that this training will be effective in training and evaluating this potential missional business.  February 2020:  SfK plans to visit Tbilisi, Georgia to help design a road map for a committed missional entrepreneur to start a missional business. This couple completed the SfK MBA BCT in 2018 and has received training at a mission agency. Please pray that this meeting will pave the way to a God-led start in this new frontier.   April 29 - May 3, 2020:  BAM Congress 2020 will take place in Jomtien, Thailand. This global gathering of BAMers will review what God has been doing through BAMs over the past 20 years and discuss what lies ahead of us. It is easy to grow hard over time…pray for a soft heart for the nations.   Read more...   사역 동정   1. SfK가 미 주 캘리포이나 어바인에 있는 베델교회에서 개최된 제2회 BAM 컨퍼런스에 참여했습니다. 이번 컨퍼런스를 통해서 더 많은 하나님의 사람들이 교회 밖 일터에서 그리고 비즈니스 내부와 비즈니스를 통해서 외적으로 하나님의 영광을 위하여 선교적 삶을 살아갈 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 2. 9월 27일 남가주에서 19명의 SfK Kingdom Fellow가 만찬모임을 가졌습니다. 참석자들의 대부분은 남가주에 거주하고 있는데 모두가 SfK를 통해서 협력하여 하나님을 섬길 수 있도록 인도하신 하나님을 찬양했습니다. 하나님께서 특별하게 관심을 가지시는 소외된 분들을 섬김으로써 하나님을 섬기는 SfK 사역에 하나가 될 수 있도록 기도해 주시고 그분들의 삶을 통해서 총체적인 임팩트가 추구될 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.         3. SfK Life가 9월 28일에 남가주에서 SfK Life 대면이사회를 개최하였습니다. 이번 이사회는 분기별 정기이사회로 모였을 뿐 아니라, 전략회의로도 모였는데 지난 15-20년동안 Global BAM Movement가 어떻게 진행되어 왔는지, SfK는 이 Movement에 어떻게 참여해 왔는지, 그리고 현재 남아있는 중요하고 긴박한 이슈들이 무엇인지, 그리고 SfK가 앞으로 어떤 사역을 감당해야 하는지 등을 논의하였습니다. 아름다운 열매를 맺게 해주신 하나님을 찬양합니다. SfK Life 이사회가 효과적으로 맡겨진 임무를 지속적으로 잘 감당해 나갈 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 4. SfK Life 이사회에 신임 이사 한분이 합류하였습니다. Sam Kim은 남가주에 거주하는 변호사이고 부동산 투자자이며 종합건축 엔지니어이기도 합니다. 하나님께서 Sam Kim 이사를 우리에게 보내주신 것에 대해서 깊은 감사를 드립니다. Sam Kim 이사의 이력을 알고 싶으시면 링크 보기를 클릭해 주시기 바랍니다.  링크 보기  하나님께서 Sam Kim 이사를 SfK Life가 사역의 다음 단계로 진보하기 위해서 크게 사용하시도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 5.  아울러 주님께서는 남가주에 거주하고 있는 또 다른 Kingdom fellow한 분을 SfK 사역에 보내주셨습니다. 이광호 형제는 SfK Missional Business Academy에서 사용될 훈련 교재 개발에 관련된 일들을 담당하게 됩니다. 자세한 내역을 링크 보기를 클릭하시면 됩니다.  링크 보기 하나님께서 형제를 잘 인도하셔서 SfK MBA 프로그램을 한층 강화하는데 중요한 역활을 감당하도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.    6. Hesed Global의 미국 자회사인 조이벨스 아메리카가 자매회사인 꽃마 USA 온라인 마케팅 프로그램을 합력하여 대폭 수정하고 있습니다. 미국을 포함한 여러 지역에서 Missional Business 들의 온라인 마케팅 플랫폼을 개발해 나가는데 초석을 잘 다질 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 7. SfK가 직접 경영하는 컨설팅 자문회사가 동남아시아 및 중앙아시아에 있는 나라의 국제 개발 프로젝트를 추진하는데 있어서 상당한 진척을 보이고 있습니다. 보안상 이름을 명시하지는 못하지만 이러한 노력들이 우리 주님 예수그리스도에 기쁨이 되는 아름다운 결과물들을 창출할 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 다가오는 일정과 기도요청   SfK에서 10월 중에 캄보디아 프놈펜에 있는 Hesed Cambodia 리더십을 위해 미니 BAM 훈련을 실시합니다. 아울러 2020년 전략개발을 위해서 리더십과의 인터뷰도 진행할 예정입니다. 이번 미니 BAM 훈련과 개별 면담들이 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 열매를 맺을 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.  SfK 리더쉽이10월에서 12월 사이에 미국에 있는 여러 도시를 방문하게 됩니다. 주요 방문 목적은 기존 후원자와 잠재적인 후원자들을 만나고 자원개발을 추진하기 위함입니다. 계획되고 있는 방문과 만남을 통해서 하나님의 섭리를 목격할 수 있도록 인도해 주시길 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 사역의 기회가 있는지를 모색하기 위해서2020년 2월에 스리랑카 방문 계획이 있습니다. 하나님의 뜻을 분별할 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 2020년 2월 네팔 카트만두를 방문해서 SfK MBA의 새로운 훈련방법으로 도입되는 Focused Training을 실시하게 됩니다. 이 프로그램이 심도있고 유익하게 실시될 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 2020년 2월에 남 아시아에 있는 한 국가를 방문할 계획이 있습니다. 여기에서도 SfK Missional Business 공동체의 잠재적 멤버를 위해 SfK MBA Focused Training을 실시할 계획입니다. 훈련과 평가하는 과정이 효과적으로 실시될 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 2020년 2월 조지아 티빌리시를 방문할 계획입니다. 방문 목적은 Missional Business에 이미 헌신된 선교기업가가 앞으로의 계획을 수립하는데 있어서 로드맵을 함께 설계하기 위함입니다. 그분은 2018년에 MBA 기업가 기초훈련을 마쳤고 다른 선교 단체에서 훈련도 수료하였습니다. 계획된 방문이 새로운 선교지에서 하나님께서 인도하시는 시작을 만들어 갈 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.  2020년 4월 29일부터 5월 3일까지 태국 좀티엔에서 BAM Congress 2020가 개최될 예정입니다. 이 국제적인 BAMer모임을 통해서 지난 20년동안 하나님께서 BAM을 통해 이루신 사역들을 돌아보고 앞으로 전개될 계획들을 함께 협의하게 됩니다. 행사에 대한 내용과 등록을 보시기를 원하시거나 등록을 하시려면 하단 링크를 클릭하시기 바랍니다.   BAM CONGRESS 2020 REGISTRATION 아시아와 아프리카에 있는 선교 비즈니스들을 위하여 그들이 비즈니스를 통하여 섬기는 삶 가운데 총체적인 임팩트를 만들어 낼 수 있도록 훈련하고 역량강화하는 SfK 사역에 기도와 재정지원으로 함께 해주셔서 감사합니다.   ...   다음 뉴스를 보내드릴 때까지 선하시고 신실하신 주님께서 여러분을 풍성하게 축복하셔서 여러분 주변과 세상에 흩어져 있는 많은 소외된 이웃들에게 더 큰 복의 근원이 되시기를 기도합니다.   Consider a charitable contribution in partnering with SfK One-Time Donation Recurring Donations Donate Now SUBSCRIBE Copyright © 2019 Synergy For the Kingdom Ministry, All rights reserved.
