Pray More and Pray More Intentionally By David Kahle Business As Mission Blog May 12, 2022 issue How do I Integrate my Christian faith with day-to-day business practices? This is a question almost every Christian professional and businessperson considers regularly. The answer isn’t simple, and it varies from time to time and place to place. The Christian life is a journey and we focus one step at a time. It’s like walking through a forest at night, with just a small flashlight to light your way. You can’t see more than a few feet ahead, and the light illuminates only the next few steps. That analogy provides us a perspective on the question. The answer to the question today may be different than it will be just a bit down the road. Because our circumstances vary, the opportunities and relationships that we have today will be different than what we encounter further down the path. What’s important is that you keep asking the question. Today’s answer is just today’s answer, and not necessarily a lifetime prescription. Having said that, there is a body of knowledge about some principles and practices that extend beyond the specific details of our current situation. These are principles and practices that apply regardless of the circumstances. In this post, we’re going to drill deeper into one such principle: Pray more and pray more intentionally. In other words, intentionally add depth and breadth to your prayer practices.   Continue Reading... MINISTRY UPDATES MB Community - SfK Life board has decided to limit the maximum number of nations and members of the MB Community not to exceed 12 at any time for now. This measure was taken to establish SfK's focus on serving a smaller number of nations and members more effectively. This action will be implemented gradually throughout 2022 for a smooth transition.  Please pray that this initiative will deepen SfK's ministry with the aligned members. MB Academy - SfK completed its BMT 2022 English Track on May 14.  Praise the Lord who has enabled us to complete the session and pray that the graduates will be more effective in their ministries.  MB Academy - SfK held its Post BMT session on May 21 with a lecture on the topic of how to become an excellent company post the pandemic.  Please pray that the session was beneficial to the participants. MB Fund - SfK's investment in a K nation has been delayed, but a progressive update has been made. We trust that it will be completed in June.  Please pray that the process will bear fruit soon.  MB Trading - Shop4Impact.com, SfK's online e-commerce platform for missional businesses, has launched the second promotional video. CLICK HERE to watch and share with your friends and family.  Please pray that this important e-commerce platform will multiply with the favor from the Lord. SfK Network - SfK Life held its in-person board meeting on May 21 and approved SfK's new MB Community Selection Criteria.  SfK Korea also held its board meeting online on May 17. UPCOMING EVENTS 1. MB Community - Subsequent to the SfK Life's decision as shared above, the management will go through the assessment process of all members of MB Community. Please pray that this process will gain God's favor and wisdom to make an edifying decision.  2. MB Academy - SfK MB Academy will hold its BMT 2022 Korean Track from August 13, 2022. Attached is the digital version of the poster for this 16-week-long business management training for BAM practitioners. Please scan the QR Code on the poster to submit your application if you are interested. Please pray that the preparation will progress with an attitude of serving the Lord.   3. MB Academy - SfK MB Academy will hold its Post BMT session on June 18 for the graduates of both BMT 2020 and 2021 tracks. Please pray that this joint session will solidify the fellowship among all participants. 4. MB Academy - SfK will hold its first BAM Field Trip to three nations from August 15. The trip team members have been finalized and the preparation is underway. Please pray that the entire process will be encouraging and edifying to all stakeholders. 5. MB Fund - SfK Life MRI (Mission-Related Investment) Fund expects to consummate its investment in a K nation in June. Please pray that this final step will be brought to conclusion. 6. SfK Network - IBA, Korea's BAM alliance, will hold its bi-annual BAM Leaders Forum from June 29 to July 1. Please pray that this gathering will strengthen the solidarity among BAM practitioners in Korea.  Thank you for standing with us through your prayer and support in equipping and empowering missional businesses in Asia and Africa. .   .   . (사진) 준비하는 모든 과정이 주님을 섬기는 마음가짐으로 진행되도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.   3. MB 아카데미 – SfK는 6월 18일에 Post BMT 훈련을 BMT 2020년과 2021년 졸업생들에게 실시합니다. 이 합동훈련 세션이 모든 참가자들 사이에 교제가 강화될 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 4. MB 아카데미 – SfK는 첫번째 BAM 필드 트립을 8월 15일부터 세 나라를 방문하는 일정으로 실시합니다. 이제 팀 멤버가 확정되었고 준비가 진행되고 있습니다. 전체 과정이 관련된 모든 이해 관계자들을 격려하고 덕을 세울 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.    5. MB 펀드 – SfK Life에 속한 Mission-Related Investment Fund는 6월 중에 K 나라에 대한 투자를 집행하도록 추진하고 있습니다. 무사히 마칠 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 6. SFK 네트워크 – 한국의 BAM 연합단체인 IBA가 격년제로 개최되는 BAM 리더스 포럼을 6월 29일부터 7월 1일까지 진행합니다. 이번 포럼이 한국어권에 있는 BAM 종사자들의 교제와 배움을 증진시킬 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 아시아와 아프리카에서 사역하는 선교기업들을 훈련하고 역량강화하는 저희 SfK 사역을 위해 기도와 후원으로 동역해 주셔서 대단히 고맙습니다. .   .   .     선하고 신실하신 우리 주님께서 여러분을 풍성하게 축복하사 여러분 주변과 세계에 흩어진 소외된 자들에게 보다 큰 복의 근원이 되시기를 간절히 기도합니다.
