Book Recommendation for topics on Business as Mission

The past few newsletters have focused on articles found on various blogs and BAM websites. We highlighted businesses and people effecting real change in developing countries. They are pursuing Kingdom business, for-profit business ventures designed to facilitate the transformation of people and nations. Ministry Updates

May 21, 2019 - SfK Korea held a board meeting and shareholders' meeting that took place in Seoul, Korea. As previously shared, SfK Korea's capital expansion was completed in April. This resulted in two new members that have been added to the board of directors for SfK Korea. Please pray that the new and existing board members will form an exemplary team to guide the management of SfK Korea.
May 21, 2019 - Hesed Global has been established to handle all merchandising and marketing activities for SfK Ministries. With a three-member board, Hesed Global will operate with a total of 8 full time and part time staff. There was a leadership meeting to develop initial strategies. Please pray that the leadership will seek God's guidance and divine wisdom in the company's initial strategy development initiatives.
May 24, 2019 - Synergy Forum was held at a church in Anyang, Korea. Dozens of people participated in this new forum to discuss about how to work together for His Kingdom. Please pray that this forum will grow and expand to facilitate the collaboration among Christian workers.
June 3-7, 2019 - IBA Leaders Forum and IBA BAM Conference took place in Korea. SfK participated in both events. Please pray that these events will help facilitate the growth of people committed to serving God and people through missional business.
SfK has been making contacts with numerous Christians and Christian organizations to explore the ways for collaboration. Please pray that these efforts will bear fruit that is pleasing to the Lord.

Upcoming Events & Prayer Requests

June 14, 2019: SfK Life Board meeting Please pray that all members will deliberate and decide on the issues in a godly manner.

ME Consultation - SfK will participate in a Middle East Consultation to be held in Beirut, Lebanon. Please pray that this event will lead to God-provided opportunities for serving Him and His people.

Meeting with the leadership of Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS) - During the ME Consultation, SfK will meet with the leadership of ABTS to explore the ways for collaboration. Please pray that the meeting will be fruitful.

Project in a Central Asian nation - SfK will participate in an initiative to develop a system to help build Christian entrepreneurs. Please pray that this initiative will help design a program that will equip and empower Christian entrepreneurs to sustain and thrive in this nation where Christians are severely persecuted.

July 8-19, 2019: SfK MBA Boot Camp Training (BCT) Arusha, Tanzania. This BCT will help develop a team of trainers to train missional entrepreneurs in this nation. Please pray that this program will equip well people of God who will train the next generation of missional entrepreneurs.
