The situation is changing by the hour. The consequences vary from difficult to dire for billions of people, and nobody knows what the timeline is for this crisis. Media across the world updates us constantly on the negative effects on businesses and on people’s lives, so this short article will have a different focus: what can we do? But first let’s note that throughout history the Church has a track record of serving others in the midst of major plagues and catastrophes. “The sociologist Rodney Stark has written (in The Rise of Christianity) that one reason the church overcame hostility and grew so rapidly within the Roman empire traces back to how Christians responded to pandemics of the day, which probably included bubonic plague and smallpox.  When infection spread, Romans fled their cities and towns; Christians stayed behind to nurse and feed not only their relatives but their pagan neighbors.” (Living in Plague Times – Phillip Yancy) Why has the Church done this for centuries and why should we do it now? One fundamental reason is that we are to love God and our neighbors, and the two are connected. As Bishop Barron says: “Why are the two commandments so tightly linked? Because of who Jesus is. Christ is not simply a human being, and he is not simply God; rather, he is the God-man, the one in whose person divinity and humanity meet. Therefore, it is impossible to love him as God without loving the humanity that he has embraced. The greatest commandment is, therefore, an indirect Christology.” [1] Many businesses are facing challenges with cashflow, lockdown, sales, having to let staff go, supply chain disruptions, bankruptcies, et cetera. So, what can we do now? Let me suggest seven areas for action as it relates to BAM businesses and the global BAM community. We also invite you to add your suggestions. (2020년 3월 튀니지, 튀니스 방문, 4월 이집트, 카이로 방문, 4월 FBA 포럼, 4/5월 BAM Congress, 5월 프놈펜, 5월 캘리포니아, 로스앤젤레스 SfK Life 대면이사회 등입니다) 2.  현재 15개국에 있는 17개의 SfK Missional Business Community에 속한 선교비즈니스들이 자금 사정에 엄청난 어려움을 겪고 있습니다.            하단 링크를 클릭하셔서 이 중 한 선교기업가의 4분길이의 영상을 통해          확인하시기 바랍니다. https://vimeo.com/402438846/aa007b59be  3. 게다가, 많은 선교 사업들이 섬기는 지역사회의 많이 가난한 분들이 기본적인 삶의 필요인 식량, 식수 등의 문제에 직면 해 있습니다. 이들 중 대부분은 일당을 벌어 생활하는데 지역 폐쇄 조치가 늘어남에 따라 식량 공급에 어려움을 겪고 있습니다. 4. SfK는 후원금을 제공하는 자선 단체가 아니지만, 조지아 비영리 단체인 SfK Life Corporation은 사태의 긴박한 필요성에 따라 SfK MB Community에 속한 여러 사업체에게 “긴급 구제 보조금”을 지급하기로 결정하였습니다.  특별 중보 기도 요청 아래의 내용을 중보기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 1) 하나님의 용서와 은혜를 위해서 – 엄청난 위기 가운데에서도 하나님의 선하심과 놀라운 권능이 증거될 수 있도록 하나님의 용서와 은혜를 허락하시옵소서.  2) 하나님의 긍휼을 위해서 - 팬더믹(세계적대유행) 사태가 하루 속히 종식되어 그분의 선하심과 권능이 이 땅에 선포될 수 있도록 자비를 베푸소서. 3) 하나님의 격려와 위로를 위해서 - 전염병 극복을 위하여 최전방에서 코로나 바이러스와 싸우고 있는 의료진, 봉사자, 정치 지도자에 하나님의 격려와 위로를 부어 주소서. 4) 하나님의 신실하심을 위해서 - 구원의 약속을 신실하게 이루어가시는 하나님의 은총을 힘입어 우리가 말씀처럼  “소망 중에 즐거워하며 환난 중에 참으며 기도에 항상 힘쓰며” 살게 하옵소서.  5) 하나님의 준비된 돕는 손길을 위해서 -  더 큰 필요에 처한 가까운 이웃과 세계에 흩어진 이웃들에게 하나님께서 허락하신 풍성한 자원을 기꺼이 나눠줄 하나님의 돕는 손길을 보내주옵소서.  <긴급 구제 보조금>에 동참하실 분은 링크를 클릭하시기 바랍니다.  https://www.sfkministries.org/donate  다가오는 일정과 기도 제목 SfK는 SfK MB Community 회원들과 지속적으로 영상통화(컨퍼런스 콜)을 진행할 계획입니다. 이 온라인 코칭과 멘토링이 대면 회의와 동일한 효과를 낼 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.  SfK는 온라인 교육을 위한 전자학습 (e-Learning) 모듈 개발에 가속화할 것입니다. 이러한 노력이 열매를 맺어  SfK 훈련 사역에 차질이 없도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. SfK Life는 기존에 예정되었던 대면 회의 대신 2020년 5월 영상 통화를 통해 정기 이사회를 개최합니다. 이 회의가 대면 회의만큼의 동일하게 열매를 맺을 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. SfK Korea는 5월 영상 통화를 통해 정기 이사회를 개최합니다. 논의할 이슈들이 이 어려운 시기에 하나님의 인도하심을 따라 적절한 결실을 맺을 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.  현재 여러 기업간 인수 및 합병을 포함하게 될 중요한 전략적 논의가 진행 중입니다. 모든 논의가 하나님의 뜻과 성령의 인도하심 그리고 우리의 경건한 분별력을 바탕으로 하여 진행되도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 전례없는 전염병 가운데에서, 아시아와 아프리카에 있는 선교 비즈니스들이 섬기는 많은 분들의 삶 가운데 총체적인 임팩트를 만들어 낼 수 있도록 이런 선교비즈니스를 훈련하고 역량강화하는 SfK 사역에 기도와 재정지원으로 함께 해주셔서 감사합니다.  ...  다음 뉴스를 보내드릴 때까지 코로나바이러스때문에 뒤숭숭한 가운데에서도  선하시고 신실하신 주님께서 긍휼하심과 하늘의 평강으로 여러분을 풍성하게  축복하셔서 여러분 주변과 세상에 흩어져 있는 많은 소외된 이웃들에게 더 큰 복의  근원이 되시기를 기도합니다.
