Several months ago, we highlighted some great resources for BAM (Business As Missions) entrepreneurs, supporters and those who are interested in learning more about BAM. Of those resources, podcasts highlighting BAM and its impact are very helpful in bringing information and updates regarding BAM and those involved in BAM to the masses. This month, we would like to highlight The Faith Driven Podcast, a show that not only delves into BAM, but discusses what faith-based entrepreneurship looks like.
The story of today’s guest starts in a recording studio. When Dr. Tony Evans was a student at Dallas Theological Seminary, he was asked to preach on a radio show based out of Houston. After giving countless sermons to an audience he could never see, Tony gathered 10 people in his living room, which was the start Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. Fast forward and Oak Cliff Bible has roughly 10,000 members, Tony has written dozens of books, and countless people have encountered the gospel of Jesus Christ through their work. Ministry Updates - SfK MB Community - A member in K nation in Central Asia received the government's award for excellent contribution to the nation. Good works performed in His name may also gain respect and recognition from the non-believing world. Glory be to God Almighty!
- SfK MB Academy - Conducted its Post BMT session in August with two participants presenting their cases and received consultation from all other participants. Please pray that these sessions will only strengthen their bonding and commitment to building each other up.
- SfK MB Academy - Started and has completed three weekly sessions in August for its BMT 2021. Please pray that this year's session will benefit all participants while all who serve will serve as if for the Lord.
- SfK MB Trading - Formed a team to launch an online platform to promote sales of products made by aligned missional businesses. The team has selected 9 brands for the initial launch. Please pray that this endeavor will bear fruit that will honor God and bring joy to people who participate.
- SfK MB Fund - Continues to explore the possibility of making an investment in a K nation in Central Asia. Please pray that this will pave the way to effective collaboration for the Kingdom of God in this nation and beyond.
- SfK Network - Both SfK Life and SfK Korea held their board meetings online in August. Please pray that the boards will maintain their passion and commitment to the SfK mission.

Upcoming Events 1. Sept. 2021: SfK MB Academy - Will continue to hold its Post BMT. Two additional participants will present their cases and seek consultation. Please pray that the sessions will be informative and helpful.2. SfK MB Academy - Will continue to hold weekly training sessions for BMT 2021. Please pray that these training sessions will equip the participants properly.3. Sept. 2021: SfK MB Academy - Will hold a 12-week mini BMT for Bethel Church in Irvine California starting Sept 16, 2021. Please pray that this mini BMT will equip the participants with renewed perspectives and necessary knowledge. 5. Oct. 21, 2021: SfK Network - Will participate in IBA Leaders Forum. Please pray that the event will help review what the Lord has done and map out a plan for the future with godly discernment. 6. Nov. 9-13, 2021: SfK Network - Will participate in Korean Global Mission Leaders Forum (KGMLF). Please pray that this bi-annual gathering will be educational to both Korean and Non-Korean mission leaders.7. SfK MB Fund - Has committed to making a working capital loan to a member in L country to help its cash flow needs during its start-up operations. Please pray that this restaurant business will persevere the challenges they may face in the midst of a pandemic. |
