Christmas, Mission, and the Year to Come By Grace Kim, SfK Editor  As we enter the Christmas season, we are reminded of the heart of our faith: God’s incredible act of love in sending Jesus into the world. Christmas draws us back to the simplicity and power of the gospel. It invites us to celebrate the hope that came to us in a humble manger and to renew our commitment to joining God’s work in the world. For SfK, this season echoes the very foundation of its mission. The birth of Christ reflects the spirit of incarnation and transformation that guides SfK’s work. The ministry exists to see lives changed in under-reached communities across Asia and Africa through Business as Mission. By supporting enterprises that uphold biblical values, SfK seeks to bring long-lasting, holistic impact that touches both economic and spiritual needs. Over the past year, SfK has focused on deepening relationships with its global partners and strengthening the network of missional businesses it serves. Much of this work has unfolded quietly but meaningfully, as SfK has continued to provide resources, mentorship, and strategic support to entrepreneurs who are serving their communities through Christ-centered business practices. The organization’s commitment to integrity, stewardship, and transformation has shaped every decision and partnership, helping to further its vision of seeing God’s Kingdom expressed in the marketplace. As we look ahead to 2026, SfK is entering an exciting new chapter as it transitions into the SHINE Alliance. This transition represents an opportunity to broaden the impact of its work, strengthen collaboration, and continue advancing the mission of seeing lives and communities transformed through Business as Mission. We ask for your prayers and support during this important season, trusting that God will guide this next step with wisdom and favor. This Christmas, as we remember the arrival of our Savior, we also celebrate the privilege of participating in His mission. SfK carries that mission into the world of business, believing that every act of service, every decision rooted in integrity, and every opportunity offered with compassion reflects the light of Christ. May this season inspire all of us to step forward with gratitude, faith, and hope for the transformation that lies ahead.

MINISTRY UPDATES

MB Academy - SfK completed its BMT 2025 on November 29. 10 people received their Certificates of Completion, and 1 received a Certificate of Participation. They will continue their learning throughout 2026 by taking part in MB Connect gatherings.  MB Academy - SfK held its November MB Connect on November 20. Four people involved in the education business or profession shared their transformation stories.  SfK Network - SfK held its 10th Anniversary Thanksgiving Worship online on November 14. Approximately 60 people from a dozen countries participated in this important event. We all honored God, who has been gracious and faithful for the past 10 years.  SfK Network - SfK Korea and SfK Life held their respective board meetings in November, still making important decisions towards the governance structure change.  SfK Network - SfK held a gathering in Southern California with Kingdom Fellows in this area, including some members of the SfK Life board of directors. It was a wonderful fellowship and informative session about recent developments within the SfK Network.

UPCOMING EVENTS

1. MB Academy - December 18 - SfK will hold its December MB Connect session on this day. Several businesses engaged in the food and beverage business will present their stories. Please pray that their preparation will be diligently made and that all participants will benefit from this session. 2. SHINE Alliance - After more than a year-long discussion, prayer, and deliberation, SfK Network will move into a different governance structure with two other ministry organizations, namely Hesed and WiThee Mission. The new governance structure will be called Shine Alliance. The official launch will be made in January 2026, and we are excited about this transition. Please pray with us and for us so that SHINE will receive God's favor from its launch to its implementation.  3. SHINE News - From January 2026, this SfK Newsletter will change its name to SHINE News. Its contents and formats will also change.  4. Shine Council will be the governing body for the Alliance, and the SHINE Alliance will have five functional networks. SHINE Council will meet with the expanded leadership on Dec 10, Seoul Standard Time. Please pray for us to make a seamless transition into SHINE.  5. SHINE Alliance - Under SHINE, there will be many changes, and we need your prayers in this important transition.  We will share more in January 2026.
