Borisoth: a Missional Business in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

On the busy streets of Phnom Penh, Cambodia an eye-catching, sleek organic foods store and cafe welcomes locals, students, and travelers. Its elegant interior attracts those with purchasing power and fuels a company that does more than just serving coffee, teas, and organic fruits.

Borisoth, a division of the Hesed Agricultural Co., Ltd, is an implementing member of SfK in Cambodia. It specializes in aggregating and selling organic food items produced by various suppliers. Its initial focus still remains on facilitating sales of products made by Christian communities established by missionaries.

Ministry Updates

SfK Life held its face-to-face board meeting in Los Angeles, California on May 18 and 19, 2018. The meeting was fruitful with important decisions made.
Jeffrey attended a 3-day advanced training program for mentoring BAMers in Toronto, Canada during May 22-24. Please pray that this training will help improve SfK's mentoring program.
Jeffrey took part in Freedom Business Alliance (FBA) annual face to face board meeting held in Toronto, Canada on May 25 and 26, 2018. Please pray that the decisions made will spearhead the direction of the FBA.
SfK held a meeting with C-BAM (Center for BAM) leadership to explore opportunities for collaboration. In principle, three areas for collaboration will be further explored. Please pray that this initial meeting will develop further to produce synergy for His Kingdom.
SfK led a 2-week intensive training program (SfK MBA Boot Camp Training) at Bethel Korean Church in Irvine, California. A total of 20 people participated in the training, and three SfK Kingdom Fellows led the training. The training began at 9:00 am and lasted until 10:00 pm, except for meal times. Please pray that the church will develop a sound BAM platform not only for the church members but also for other churches interested in BAM movement in the region.

Upcoming Events & Prayer Requests

June 2018: SfK will participate in a Lion's Den in a Central Asian nation. This business plan contest is for many missional entrepreneurs participating from several countries in the region. Please pray that this event will equip and empower committed missional entrepreneurs in their endeavors in this region of harsh life and environment.

July 2018: SfK will explore a few partnership opportunities in Nairobi, Kenya. Please pray that this effort will be fruitful.

July 2018: SfK Tanzania will hold a BAM Seminar in Arusha. Please pray that this initial event will attract committed young Tanzania entrepreneurs to see God's design in business.

July 2018: SfK will lead SfK MBA Boot Camp Training Kigali to be hosted by Rwanda Shalom Mission. Three SfK Kingdom Fellows will be main lecturers. Please pray that this training will help equip Rwandan Christian entrepreneurs to be ready for living a missional life in their businesses.

August 2018: SfK will make a "K-city Tour" to four cities in four countries. All four countries start with the letter "K." Hence, it is called "K-city Tour." SfK will explore several opportunities to lead training sessions, to make financial investments and to identify for international trade. Please pray that the Lord will lead SfK to meet the right people and come to right decisions.
