(Acts 20:24) The concept of the 'Sacred-Secular Divide' has been around for a long time and it has persisted even after the Reformation. You don’t have to go very far today to hear some reference to the ‘sacred-secular divide’ or the ‘sacred-secular dichotomy.’ It’s in all the books, blogs, conferences – and occasionally in a sermon. And it’s always in a negative connotation. So what exactly is the sacred-secular divide? In one sense, it’s impossible to define. It’s a kind of culture, a nuance, an entirely too subtle way of looking at life, vocation and ministry. It’s a shadow that covers many other aspects of our lives. It seems innocuous, but it’s not. The divide is a false dichotomy, a false worldview, an infection in the minds of Jesus’ followers that has done incalculable damage to the cause of the Church. Click to read more Ministry Updates  SfK Korea held its regular board meeting on June 18th. We are steadily making progress in establishing the first BAM Fund in Korea. Please pray that this process will receive God's favor and establish a fund that empowers missional businesses for great Kingdom Impact. Jeffrey participated in a Lion's Den, a business plan contest, in a Central Asian nation. 12 business plans were submitted; 9 were presented; 4 have received approval for funding. All participants are pastors striving to be a messenger of the gospel in very hostile environments. Please pray that God will raise up more Christian workers to stand for the Kingdom of God, even in the midst of harsh conditions. SfK missional business in Central Asia #1 - God has providentially prepared a missional business in this country and we have in principle agreed to serve together for His Kingdom. Praise the Lord! Please pray that this newfound relationship will progress and be fruitful. Sky Bay Thailand, SfK's implementing member in Thailand, made its first bridge loan in June to a prospective missional business to overcome a temporary cash flow crunch. A proper due diligence is scheduled in July. Please pray that the due diligence will bear fruit that is pleasing to the Lord.  SfK Missional Business Trading is a platform to facilitate the Kingdom Trade for missional businesses. Its idea is gradually conceptualized and is taking shape into an opportunity with the potential of tremendous impact. Please pray that God will send the right people to lead and implement this important platform to develop into a powerful engine and empower missional businesses for the greater Kingdom Impact.  SfK Webpage has been updated. Please browse our website by clicking here. www.sfkministries.org Upcoming Events & Prayer Requests July 2018 - SfK will explore a few possibilities to collaborate for the Kingdom of God in Kenya in July. Please pray for God's guidance and discernment in this exploratory trip.  July 13, 2018 - SfK Tanzania will hold its first BAM Seminar in Arusha. Please pray that God will raise up young entrepreneurs who see God's calling in business.  July 16-27, 2018 - SfK will hold its second MBA Boot Camp Training (BCT) in 2018 in Kigali. Please pray that the participants will be equipped to live a missional life through business. August 2018 - SfK will make an exploratory "K-city" trip to four cities in four nations, which all start with the letter K. Please pray that SfK will meet people, hold discussion, make decisions and carry out work in a manner that will honor the Lord. August 10, 2018 - SfK Life (US) will hold its board meeting. Please pray that all board members will remain vigilant to the calling, vision and mission SfK upholds.  September 2018 - SfK will participate in KBM Global Gathering in Korea. Please pray that like-minded people will encourage and edify one another through this gathering. September 21-23, 2018 - BAM Global will hold its Conference in Philadelphia, PA. Please pray that many Christians see what God has in store for their businesses to advance His own Kingdom on earth.
