As the world monitors and responds in fear of the outbreak of the coronavirus, we as Christians put our hope and trust in the Lord. Because of our faith, we should respond differently and shine brightly during these uncertain and fearful times.

How we respond in times when we feel powerless may offer a greater opportunity for growth for us and to witness to others.

Christians and Coronavirus: “We Are Facing a Test of our Faith”

As the number of death and infections climb from the coronavirus, Christians are reaching out to help even as oppressive governments clamp down.

In China, Christians hand out aid and masks – and share Jesus. Government officials reportedly initially arrested Christians and confiscated the aid. Tough new laws restricting Christian activity, teachings, and communication came into full effect on Feb 1.
North Korea has sealed its borders to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Christian Freedom International’s partners are getting rice and Bibles into North Korea in bottles carried by river currents.
Pastors in Wuhan encourage Christians not to fear and to pray. A new seminary — one of the largest seminaries in China –is in Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus.

An anonymous pastor in Wuhan wrote a heartfelt guide for Christians worldwide:

It is readily apparent that we are facing a test of our faith.

The situation is so critical, yet (we are) trusting in the Lord’s promises, that his thoughts toward us are of peace, and not evil (Jeremiah. 29:11), and that he allows for a time of testing, not to destroy us, but to establish us. Therefore, Christians are not only to suffer with the people of this city, but we have a responsibility to pray for those in this city who are fearful, and to bring to them the peace of Christ.

First, we are to seek the peace of Christ to reign in their hearts (Hebrews 3:15). Christ has already given us his peace, but his peace is not to remove us from disaster and death, but rather to have peace in the midst of disaster and death, because Christ has already overcome these things (John 14:27, 16:33). Otherwise we have not believed in the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15), and, with the world, would be terrified of pestilence, and lose hope in the face of death.

Why do only Christians have this peace? Because of sin, humans deserve the trials and tribulations that come upon them, Jehovah says: the wicked have no peace (Isaiah 48:22). We were all sinners, but Christ, because of faith, took our penalty and gave us his peace. Therefore Paul says, who can bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. (Romans 8:33). Christians may with the world face the same tribulations, but such tribulations are no longer punishment, but a new opportunity to grow nearer to the Almighty, to purify our souls, and an opportunity to proclaim the gospel.

사역 동정

1. 2020년 2월 – SfK Life와 SfK Korea 이사회 미팅에서 각각의 사업 계획과 예산이 승인되었습니다. SfK MB Community에 속한 모든 선교 사업체도 자체 사업 계획 및 예산을 준비하고 있습니다. 모든 사업체가 어려운 상황에서도 사업 계획을 수행함에있어 하나님의 뜻에 합당하게 행하도록 기도해주십시오.

2. 2020 년 2 월-스리랑카 방문. SfK는 IT 비즈니스 준비하고 있는 젊은 사업가를 발굴했습니다. 이 사업가가 주님의 완벽한 때에 선교 사업가로 성장하기 위해 인내하며 꾸준히 앞으로 나아갈 수 있도록 기도해주십시오.

3. 2020 년 2 월-카트만두에서 실시된 Focused Training. SfK는 일주일 동안 두 명의 이사회 멤버를 포함하여 7 명의 리더십과 일반적인 경영 주제에 대해서 15 명까지의 직원에게 훈련을 실시했습니다. 이들은 SfK Missional Business Community의 일원으로서 하나님과 하나님의 나라를 함께 섬기기로 마음을 모았습니다. 주님을 찬양합니다. 새로 세워진 이 관계가 더 깊어지고 유익한 열매를 맺을 수 있도록 기도해 주십시요.

4. 2020 년 2 월-네팔 카트만두- SfK는 네팔 카트만두에서 Focused training를 실시하는 동안 2019년에 실시된 SfK 기업가 기초훈련 카트만두 졸업생들과, 여러명의 잠재적인 선교 사업가들과 함께 후속 회의를 가졌습니다. 회의는 유익했습니다. 그들 모두가 각자 섬기는 사람들의 삶에 총체적인 변혁의 영향을 미치기 위해 필요한 조치를 계속해서 추구해 나갈 수 있도록 기도해주십시오.

5. 2020 년 2 월-남아시아 국가 Focused Training 실시 SfK는 또한 이 나라에서 사업하고 있는 선교 비즈니스의 핵심 경영진들에게 일주일동안 Focused Training을 실시했습니다. 훈련이 끝난 후에 이 비즈니스는 SfK MB Community의 멤버가 되었습니다. 주님을 찬양합니다! 기독교 박해가 극심한 이 나라에서 이러한 선교 사업이 사회와 국가의 소금과 빛으로 계속 발전 할 수 있도록 기도해주십시오.

6. 2020 년 2 월-조지아 트빌리시 - SfK는 2018 년 캘리포니아 어바인 지역에서 SfK 기업가 기초훈련을 졸업한 한 선교 기업가와 선교 사업을 향한 로드맵에 대해 며칠간 브레인 스토밍하였습니다. 이 기간동안 우리는 성공적인 푸드 체인점을 운영하는 미국인 BAMer를 만났습니다. 그들의 이야기는 많은 감명을 주고 큰 격려가 되었습니다. 이 선교기업가가 향후 12 개월 동안 취하게 될 여러 조치들이 전략적으로 중요한 코카서스 지역을 효과적으로 섬기기 위한 선교비즈니스를 잘 세워갈 수 있도록 기도해주십시오.

7. 2020 년 2 월-스페인 마드리드-.SfK는 한 Kingdom Fellow와 함께 며칠 동안 그가 어떻게 더욱 효과적으로 SfK Ministries에 동참할 수 있을지에 대해 상의하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 우리의 대화는 우호적인 분위기에서 진행되었습니다. 우리가 하나님의 나라를 위한 협력을 달성하는 방법을 계속 발견 할 수 있도록 기도해주십시오.

2020년 3월 – 튀니지, 튀니스 방문 – SfK는 튀니지, 튀니스에서 이 나라를 섬길 수 있는 잠재적인 기회를 모색하기 위해 짧은 방문을 합니다. 이 만남이 열매를 맺을 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

2020년 4월 – 모로코 방문 – SfK는 모로코를 섬길 방법을 모색할 것입니다. 주님께서 우리에게 주님의 완벽한 때에 알맞은 사람을 만날 길을 열어 주시도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

2020 년 4 월-이집트 카이로 방문- SfK는 2019 프놈펜에서 실시한 SfK 기업가 기초훈련을 졸업 한 선교 기업가와 며칠을 함께 보내며 전략적으로 중요한 이 나라에서 총체적인 변혁을 향한 선교비즈니스를 어떻게 세워나갈 것인가를 생각할 것입니다. 이 만남이 많은 열매를 맺을 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

2020년 4월 - Freedom Business Alliance (이하 FBA)포럼이 전세계적으로 확산되고 있는 신종코로나바이러스감염증(COVID 19)으로 인해 취소되었습니다. FBA가 다음 단계를 진행함에 있어 하나님의 지혜를 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

2020 4월/5월 - BAM Congress – 세계적인 행사인 BAM Congress가 2021년으로 연기되었습니다.

다음 일정이 결정될 때까지 지도자와 조직자들이 하나님의 인도에 의존 할 수 있도록 기도해주십시오.

2020년 5월 – Hesed Cambodia – SfK는 Hesed Cambodia의 리더십과 비즈니스 관리 기술을 향상하기 위해 후속 훈련을 실시할 예정입니다. 이 선교 비즈니스가 다른 비즈니스에게 모범적인 사업으로 발전해 나갈 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

2020년 5월 – SfK Life 대면 이사회 – -SfK Life Corporation은 2020 년 5 월 남가주에서 연례 대면 이사회를 개최 할 것입니다.이 회의에서 주님께서 하신 일을 돌아보고 미래 계획의 토대를 마련할 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.
