"I Met God at This School."

"I met God at this school."

2 & 5 Christian Academy is a private school in Kigali, Rwanda. 2 & 5, representing 2 talents and 5 talents, was started in 2012 by a few missional entrepreneurs, including Ms. Song Hee Lee, current Director, with two classes of 37 students. The school was initially started as part of Friends Church also known as Quakers, but from 2019, Nanuri Limited is formally operating it under a professional management agreement. Over the years, the school has continued to grow with additional students joining steadily, now totaling 206 students.

This year, the first group of 20 students have graduated. They performed very well at the Rwanda's national exam and have earned favorable reputation from their parents as well as the government authorities.

But, what has excited these missional entrepreneurs was not necessarily good performance of the graduating students at the national exam, although it was important to meet the expectations of the parents and the school authorities. It was the growth of the children in their faith in the Lord that actually mattered to them. The maturing faith of the students was the satisfying fruits of their labor and services. Song Hee Lee, Director and Hee Ju Lee, Deputy Director are the founders and primary driving forces of this thriving Christian school.

This year, they had a special cause for even greater delight. It was one graduating child's confession note: "I met God at this school" and my behavior changed.

Prince Nziza Nkotany is 12 years of age. He was born to the parents who are not believers. But, he was introduced to the gospel at this school and has been convinced that Jesus is His savior and His Lord. He is short for his age, but his eyes were bright and his face showing strong determination to living out a life in dedication to his God.

He likes Proverbs because he believes that the divine wisdom is superior to the knowledge he is learning at the school classrooms. As he was studying Proverbs, he realized that the fear of God is the beginning of the wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) and as he has been gaining wisdom, he has been able to meet and know God. What an amazing confession of faith!

Prince desires to be a medical doctor and to help people in need. Mr. Sang Hoon Lee, Managing Director of Nanuri Limited, was thrilled to hear his confession of faith from Prince as he was conducting an interview with Prince.

Nanuri Limited is a missional enterprise established in Kigali, Rwanda four years ago. In addition to managing 2 & 5 Christian Academy, it also operates a medical clinic, called Nanuri Medical Center, and a guest house, namely Nanuri Guest House. Nanuri Limited functions as a holding company, represented and managed by Sang Hoon Lee, a veteran missionary to East Africa, having served in Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda for the past 25 years. He received the esteemed Underwood Missionary Award in 2019 from Yonsei University in S. Korea.

After a struggling almost two years of construction, Nanuri Complex was established and two entities began their operations in 2019.

Nanuri Medical Center, directed by Dr. Jun Bum Park, a physican, and his wife, Dr. Ji Yeon Baik, a pediatrician, sold their practices in Korea and came to Rwanda four years ago in obedience to God's calling them into world mission. After having served at the government hospitals for the past four years, they started serving Rwandan patients through this medical center from February 2019. It is amazing that the medical center already generates enough revenues to cover 76% of the operating expenses.

Nanuri Guest House is a boutique hotel with 18 rooms. Its top quality amenities have been generating sufficient revenues to exceed the operating expenses, already profitable. Praise the Lord! Ms. Song Hee Lee, Sang Hoon Lee's wife, is directing this operation based on her previous bed and breakfast experiences at their former house.

It is great joy to witness the fruit of the labor of these missional entrepreneurs in serving people in need around the world. Glory be only to God Almighty!
